How to install PPF on a Toyota RAV4 (2026+)

1. Check it is your car

Kits follow the body shape, not the model year. These kits are for the Toyota RAV4 (2026+, sixth generation):

• Slim C-shaped headlights joined by a body-colour bar
• Every trim has its own front bumper pattern: LE / XLE, XLE Premium, Limited, SE, XSE, Woodland and GR Sport are each cut separately
• SE, XSE and GR Sport share sport-style hood, fender, sill and door patterns; Woodland has its own, including its roof with rails
• Limited and XSE have their own headlight patterns; the other trims share one
• Rear bumper: LE / XLE / XLE Premium share one pattern, Limited / SE / XSE another; GR Sport has its own rear with a wing and diffuser
• Front parking sensors on Limited and XSE: choose the sensor option on bumper kits; the rear bumper pattern is the same with or without sensors
• Hybrid or plug-in hybrid only; plug-in versions have a charging door in the rear quarter panel: choose the charging-door option on side and full-body kits
• Australian cars have their own front and rear bumper patterns: choose the vehicle specification

4. What you need

• A clean, sheltered place to work
• The supplied pre-cut film and numbered map
• Soft squeegee and clean microfibre cloths
• Two clean spray bottles for slip and tack solution (not included)

The kit includes the squeegee, a microfibre cloth and installation solution to mix with water.

5. Apply the film

1. 1Clean the panel. Wash and decontaminate the paint so no dirt gets trapped under the film. Work in a clean, sheltered space.
2. 2Prepare your solutions. Mix the supplied installation solution with water as its label directs. Keep slip and tack solution in separate labelled spray bottles.
3. 3Wet the panel and film. Spray the panel, your hands and the adhesive side of the pre-cut piece. The film should be able to float into position.
4. 4Match the numbered map. Use the installation map and panel edges to align each piece before pressing it down.
5. 5Squeegee out the water. Anchor the centre, then work outwards in overlapping strokes. Lift and re-wet a section if it traps water or air.
6. 6Finish the edges. Use tack solution where the supplied guide calls for it, then squeegee the edges. Let the film settle before washing the car.

• Start small. If it is your first time, do the mirror caps or rocker panels first to get a feel for floating and squeegeeing the film.
• Line up the cut-outs first. On a bumper with sensor or camera openings, float the piece until every opening sits over its sensor before you squeegee.
• Follow the numbers. Each piece is numbered to the installation map in your kit, so you always know where it goes.
