Toyota RAV4: which body do you have?
Compare your car with the pictures. The year you bought it is only a hint, because bodies changed at different times in different regions.
RAV4 (2016–2018, XA40 facelift)
2016 – 2018
- Facelift of the fourth-generation RAV4: slim upper grille with a chrome bar over a wide trapezoid lower opening
- Angular headlights with LED daytime lights; one headlight pattern fits every trim; fog lamps in the lower corners on most trims
- RAV4 Hybrid has its own front bumper, grille and hood & fender pattern
- SE has its own sport front bumper and lower grille; hood, fenders and sills follow the standard trims from 2017
- Platinum has a body-colour lower bumper, painted fender flares and painted lower sills
- Adventure (2018) has a more rugged front bumper, painted flares and an optional hood stripe
- Some cars have front parking sensors: choose the sensor option on bumper kits
- Painted (body-colour) fender flares were fitted to some LE / XLE / Limited cars: choose the fender type on hood and fender kits
- Not covered: 2016 SE hood, fender and rocker panels (unique to that year; the 2017–2018 SE shares the standard panels)
- Not covered: 2013–2015 pre-facelift RAV4 (different bumpers and lights)
RAV4 (2019–2025, XA50)
2019 – 2025
- Squared-off, truck-like nose with a tall trapezoid lower grille
- Angular headlights that step down toward the grille
- Fog lamps and front parking sensors vary by trim and package: choose both on bumper kits
- Adventure / TRD Off-Road / Trail (Canada) have a bolder bumper with a two-bar grille and painted fender flares, so their bumper, grille and hood & fender kits are cut separately
- RAV4 Hybrid XSE has its own sport lower bumper and its own headlight pattern
- RAV4 Prime SE / XSE (plug-in) has its own front and rear bumpers and headlight pattern; doors, sills, hood and fenders use the standard patterns
- Rear bumper, doors, sills, hood and roof patterns are shared by every other trim; the rear bumper pattern is the same with or without sensors
- Australian cars have their own front bumper pattern: choose the vehicle specification
RAV4 (2026+, sixth generation)
2026 onwards
- Slim C-shaped headlights joined by a body-colour bar
- Every trim has its own front bumper pattern: LE / XLE, XLE Premium, Limited, SE, XSE, Woodland and GR Sport are each cut separately
- SE, XSE and GR Sport share sport-style hood, fender, sill and door patterns; Woodland has its own, including its roof with rails
- Limited and XSE have their own headlight patterns; the other trims share one
- Rear bumper: LE / XLE / XLE Premium share one pattern, Limited / SE / XSE another; GR Sport has its own rear with a wing and diffuser
- Front parking sensors on Limited and XSE: choose the sensor option on bumper kits; the rear bumper pattern is the same with or without sensors
- Hybrid or plug-in hybrid only; plug-in versions have a charging door in the rear quarter panel: choose the charging-door option on side and full-body kits
- Australian cars have their own front and rear bumper patterns: choose the vehicle specification

Toyota RAV4 PPF kits by body
We cut DIY pre-cut paint protection film for 3 Toyota RAV4 bodies. A new body starts wherever the panels change shape, such as a facelift with a new bumper or lights, so a kit always matches the car it was cut for.
