How to recognise this generation
  • Hexagonal grille with a thick body-colour surround; one grille and one headlight pattern fit every trim, including TRD Pro
  • Squared-off headlights, fog lamps in the lower corners on most trims
  • TRD Off-Road has its own front bumper, hood & fender and rocker patterns
  • SR (and some SR5) trucks have no fender flares; the other trims do, which changes the bumper, fender, sill and quarter patterns: choose the flare option
  • TRD Sport and TRD Pro have a hood scoop: choose the scooped hood on hood kits
  • Rear parking sonar on Limited / TRD Pro (optional elsewhere), no factory front sensors: choose the rear-sensor option on rear bumper kits
  • Double Cab (four full doors, 5-ft or 6-ft bed) or Access Cab (rear-hinged half doors): choose the cab and bed on side, rocker, roof and full-body kits
