How to recognise this generation
  • Facelift of the fourth-generation RAV4: slim upper grille with a chrome bar over a wide trapezoid lower opening
  • Angular headlights with LED daytime lights; one headlight pattern fits every trim; fog lamps in the lower corners on most trims
  • RAV4 Hybrid has its own front bumper, grille and hood & fender pattern
  • SE has its own sport front bumper and lower grille; hood, fenders and sills follow the standard trims from 2017
  • Platinum has a body-colour lower bumper, painted fender flares and painted lower sills
  • Adventure (2018) has a more rugged front bumper, painted flares and an optional hood stripe
  • Some cars have front parking sensors: choose the sensor option on bumper kits
  • Painted (body-colour) fender flares were fitted to some LE / XLE / Limited cars: choose the fender type on hood and fender kits
