Model S Nosecone (2012–2016)
2012 – early 2016
- Black oval 'nosecone' panel on the front, like a grille
- Round fog lamps in the lower bumper
- Chrome door handles and window trim
- Body-coloured lower bumper with a small lip
Model S Facelift (2016–2020)
Mid 2016 – 2020
- Smooth body-coloured nose with a thin chrome accent line
- Fog lamps in the lower bumper
- Chrome door handles and window trim
- Same rear as the nosecone car
Model S Refresh (2021–2025)
Mid 2021 – mid 2025
- Wider lower front intake with a smooth upper nose
- Fog lamps in the lower bumper on most markets
- Black window trim and door handles
- No camera in the front bumper (added on the 2025 update)
Model S 2025 update
Mid 2025 onwards
- Small camera lens in the front bumper below the Tesla badge
- Plaid has its own front splitter and rear diffuser design
- Otherwise the same smooth nose and black trim as the 2021 refresh
