Lexus IS: which body do you have?
Compare your car with the pictures. The year you bought it is only a hint, because bodies changed at different times in different regions.
IS (2017–2020, XE30 first refresh)
2017 – 2020
- Large spindle grille (mesh on F Sport); hooked L-shaped daytime lights sit below the angular headlights (one lamp pattern fits every trim)
- No fog lamps
- F Sport has a mesh grille and its own front bumper; the rear bumper, sills and doors are shared, and the F Sport trunk lid carries a lip spoiler (choose the spoiler option)
- IS 300h shares every panel with the IS 300 / 350
- Front parking sensors and headlamp washers on upper packages, rear sensors on most trims: choose the options on bumper kits
IS (2021–2025, XE30 second refresh)
2021 – 2025
- Wider body with new fenders, front and rear bumpers and side rocker trim; slim headlights with a check-mark daytime light (one lamp pattern fits every trim)
- Full-width rear light bar across the trunk lid; no fog lamps
- F Sport has a mesh grille, its own front and rear bumpers and side rocker trim; doors, hood, fenders and roof are shared with the IS 300
- IS 500 F Sport Performance (2022+) adds a raised hood bulge, a rear bumper with quad exhaust tips and its own trunk-lid spoiler to the F Sport body (F Sport sills)
- Front parking sensors and headlamp washers on upper packages, rear sensors on most trims: choose the options on bumper kits
- Not sold in Europe; replaced by the 2026 refresh (new front fascia and rear spoiler) listed below
IS (2026+, XE30 third refresh)
2026 onwards
- Refreshed front fascia (new bumper and spindle grille) and a newly designed rear spoiler on the 2021 wide body (Lexus Canada: on sale from February 2026)
- Headlights, hood, fenders, doors and quarters carry over from the 2021–2025 car; the trunk lid now carries the new spoiler
- Line-up is IS 300h and IS 350 worldwide; every North American 2026 IS is an IS 350 F Sport Design or F Sport with the F Sport mesh grille, bumpers and rocker trim (one pattern set). There is no 2026 IS 500: the IS 500 belongs to the 2021–2025 body above
- Front and rear parking sensors on most trims: choose the sensor options
- Not sold in Europe

Lexus IS PPF kits by body
We cut DIY pre-cut paint protection film for 3 Lexus IS bodies. A new body starts wherever the panels change shape, such as a facelift with a new bumper or lights, so a kit always matches the car it was cut for.
