Lexus ES: which body do you have?
Compare your car with the pictures. The year you bought it is only a hint, because bodies changed at different times in different regions.
ES (2016–2018, XV60 refresh)
2016 – 2018
- 2016 refresh of the sixth-generation ES: spindle grille with a chrome frame, new front bumper and headlights with an L-shaped daytime light; upright three-box body
- One pattern set fits every trim: ES 350 and ES 300h share the bumpers, hood, doors, sills and lamps (the hybrid differs only in its badges)
- LED fog lamps on upper packages; base cars have blank inserts: choose the fog option
- Front parking sensors (Intuitive Parking Assist) with the Luxury / Ultra Luxury packages: choose the sensor options on bumper kits
- Roof: solid, or the panoramic glass roof: choose the roof type
ES (2019–2021, XZ10)
2019 – 2021
- Tall spindle grille with vertical bars and a chrome frame; sleek coupe-like roofline
- Angular headlights with an L-shaped daytime light (one lamp pattern fits every trim); no fog lamps
- F Sport has a mesh grille and its own front bumper plus a factory trunk-lid spoiler: choose 'with spoiler' on trunk-lid and full-body kits (other grades have no spoiler)
- Rear bumper patterns: ES 250 / 300h (including their F Sport) share one; the ES 350 has its own, and the ES 350 F Sport another
- Sills, doors, hood, fenders and roof are shared by every trim
- Digital Side-view Monitors (small camera pods instead of door mirrors) are offered on upper grades in Japan from 2018 and in Europe from 2020 (UK Takumi, Germany, Spain, Poland and other markets): look at your car and choose the mirror housing type on hood / fender / mirror, full-front and full-body kits
- Front and rear parking sensors on upper trims and packages: choose the sensor options
- European, UK and Asian cars have their own trunk lid pattern: choose the vehicle specification
ES (2022–2025, XZ10 refresh)
2022 – 2025
- Revised spindle grille insert (L-motif bars, mesh on F Sport) and a reshaped lower front bumper
- Slimmer headlights with new triple-beam LED units; the F Sport grades have their own headlight pattern; no fog lamps
- F Sport Design / F Sport Handling / Black Line have a mesh grille, their own front bumper and headlights and a factory trunk-lid spoiler (Lexus, 2022 update): choose 'with spoiler' on trunk-lid and full-body kits (other grades have no spoiler)
- Rear bumper patterns: ES 250 / 300h (including their F Sport grades) share one; the ES 350 has its own, and the ES 350 F Sport / Black Line another
- Sills, doors, hood, fenders and roof are shared by every trim
- Digital Side-view Monitors (small camera pods instead of door mirrors) are offered on upper grades in Japan and in several European markets (for example the UK and Spanish ES 300h Luxury): look at your car and choose the mirror housing type on hood / fender / mirror, full-front and full-body kits
- Front and rear parking sensors on upper trims and packages: choose the sensor options
- Sold alongside the 2026 eighth generation during run-out; the last new sale of this body is not yet evidenced
ES (2025, XZ10 China refresh)
2025 (China)
- China-only second refresh of the seventh-generation ES (Lexus China, November 2024): new spindle grille, double-L headlamps, full-width rear lighting and LEXUS lettering replacing the rear emblem
- Body sides, doors and roof carry over from the 2022 car; front and rear bumpers, grille and lamp units are new
- F Sport has a mesh grille, its own front and rear bumpers and side rocker trim
- Sold only in mainland China; first customer deliveries are not yet evidenced, so the start is marked unconfirmed
ES (2026+, eighth generation)
2026 onwards
- European, UK and Asian cars have their own front bumper, rear bumper, rocker and (UK, right-hand drive) side patterns: choose the vehicle specification
- Taller fastback body with a closed-off 'spindle body' nose; slim headlights and flush door handles
- Hybrid (ES 350h) and electric (ES 350e / 500e) share the body, but differ in two panels: the hybrid carries an additional upper cooling grille opening in the nose, and the electric cars have a charging door in the passenger-side (right) front fender (Lexus, North American launch). Electric cars therefore have their own grille, hood / fender and combined SKUs: pick the Electric kits for an ES 350e / 500e
- Two rear bumper patterns: Premium / Signature (US Base), or the Luxury / Luxury+ / Executive VIP grades: pick the Luxury rear bumper kit for those grades, whatever the powertrain
- No fog lamps; front and rear parking sensors and headlamp washers vary by grade: choose them on bumper kits
- Chinese deliveries start first; North American and European starts are announced but not yet evidenced

Lexus ES PPF kits by body
We cut DIY pre-cut paint protection film for 5 Lexus ES bodies. A new body starts wherever the panels change shape, such as a facelift with a new bumper or lights, so a kit always matches the car it was cut for.
