How to recognise this generation
  • European and UK cars have their own front bumper pattern: choose the vehicle specification
  • Two kidney grilles joined by a chrome bar, hexagonal daytime-light rings in the headlights and fog lamps in the lower bumper
  • M Sport, xLine and Luxury Line / base each have their own front bumper and side skirts; xLine and Luxury Line share the door / quarter and rear bumper pattern
  • M Sport has its own doors / quarters and rear bumper
  • Parking sensors (2 or 4) and the front-view camera change the front bumper cut-outs
  • xDrive40e (2016–2018) has a charging flap in the front left fender: choose the charging-door option on hood / fender kits
  • X5 M (F85) is a wide body and is not covered
