How to recognise this generation
  • European-market Golf Mk8 five-door hatchback before the 2024 update: slim LED headlights, wide lower air intake, no fog lamps
  • GTD, GTE and R-Line share one pattern set; Life and Style each have their own front bumper, sills, sides and rear bumper
  • GTE is a plug-in hybrid with a charging door in the front-left fender: choose the charging door option on kits that cover the fender
  • Rear bumper changes with the rear parking sensors: choose the sensor option
  • Roof: solid, or the panoramic glass roof: choose the roof type
