Lexus RX: which body do you have?
Compare your car with the pictures. The year you bought it is only a hint, because bodies changed at different times in different regions.
RX (2016–2019, AL20)
2016 – 2019
- Tall spindle grille with a chrome frame; angular headlights with triple-L daytime lights (one lamp pattern fits every trim)
- LED fog lamps on every trim (choose 'with fog lamps')
- F Sport has a mesh grille and its own front bumper; the RX 350 F Sport also has its own rear bumper
- RX 450h has its own rear bumper (hybrid exhaust) and its own sill pattern (hybrid badge); its front bumpers follow the 350 / 350 F Sport patterns
- Hood, fenders, doors and roof are shared by every trim
- Front parking sensors (Intuitive Parking Assist) and headlamp washers on upper trims and packages: choose both on bumper kits; the rear bumper pattern is the same with or without sensors
- Not covered: RX 350L / 450hL three-row (longer rear overhang: rear bumper, hatch, quarter and side kits differ)
RX (2020–2022, AL20 refresh)
2020 – 2022
- New front and rear bumpers with larger side intakes; slimmer headlights with a single L-shaped daytime light
- LED fog lamps on every trim (choose 'with fog lamps')
- F Sport has a mesh grille and its own front bumper; the rear bumper, doors, hood and roof are shared by every trim
- RX 450h has its own sill pattern (hybrid badge); everything else follows the 350 / F Sport patterns
- Front and rear parking sensors and headlamp washers on upper trims and packages: choose them on bumper kits
- Not covered: RX 350L / 450hL three-row (longer rear overhang: rear bumper, hatch, quarter and side kits differ)
RX (2023+, AL30)
2023 onwards
- 'Spindle body' nose: the upper grille is body-coloured and blends into the hood; slim headlights with a check-mark daytime light (one lamp pattern fits every trim)
- LED front fog lamps on most trims (Australia: RX 350h Luxury and up; Canada: every trim); base cars in some markets have blank inserts: choose the fog option
- Headlamp washers on some trims and markets (Australia: Luxury and up): choose the washer option on bumper kits
- Full-width rear light bar with LEXUS lettering
- Three F Sport patterns, each with its own front and rear bumpers and sills: F Sport Design / F Sport Handling, F Sport Black Line (350 and 500h) and the 500h F Sport Performance; hood, fenders, doors and roof are shared by every trim
- RX 450h+ plug-in hybrid (2024+) has a charging door in the rear quarter panel: choose the charging-door option on side and full-body kits
- Front and rear parking sensors standard on most trims, rear only on the base RX 350: choose the sensor options
