Jeep Wrangler 4-door: which body do you have?
Compare your car with the pictures. The year you bought it is only a hint, because bodies changed at different times in different regions.
Wrangler Unlimited (2007–2018, JK)
2007 – 2018
- Round headlights and a seven-slot grille on a boxy four-door body: the JK Unlimited, replaced by the JL during model year 2018
- Door handles and hinges are exposed on a squared-off body; the JL has a sloped windshield and LED-ringed lights
- Removable hard top or soft top: the roof is not covered, the door panels are
- Fog lamps on most trims: choose the lamp option on headlamp kits
- Rubicon, Sahara, Sport and the special editions share one set of patterns on this body
- Not covered: Two-door Wrangler (separate body)
- Not covered: Soft-top and hard-top roof panels
Wrangler Unlimited (2018–2023, JL)
2018 – 2023
- Slanted seven-slot grille and round lights with a lit ring on the JL Unlimited, which launched as the 2018.5 model
- Four doors; the hard top and soft top are removable and are not covered, the painted doors are
- Sport and Sport S have an open black grille without inserts: choose the Sport trim for its grille and side panels
- Sahara, Sahara Altitude, Sport Altitude and MOAB share their own door and side patterns; High Altitude (2020–2023) has its own front bumper, hood, rear bumper and sides
- Rubicon 392 (2021–2023) has a hood with a scoop: choose the hood type
- 4xe plug-in hybrid (2021 onwards) has a charging door in the front-left fender: choose the charging door option
- Not covered: Two-door Wrangler (separate body)
- Not covered: Soft-top and hard-top roof panels
- Not covered: Right-hand-drive postal Wrangler
Wrangler Unlimited (2024+, JL facelift)
2024 onwards
- Refreshed grille with a bolder, redrawn opening (Sport and Sport S keep the open black grille without inserts)
- Four doors; the hard top, Sky One-Touch power top and soft top are removable and are not covered
- Rubicon, Rubicon X, Willys and the Twelve 4 Twelve editions share the core patterns
- Sport, Sport S and Sahara have their own door and side panels
- Rubicon 392 (2024 and the 2026 Twelve 4 Twelve 392 editions) has a hood with a scoop: choose the hood type
- 4xe plug-in hybrid (to 2025) has a charging door in the front-left fender: choose the charging door option
- Not covered: Two-door Wrangler (separate body)
