How to recognise this generation
  • Boxy, flat-sided body with H-shaped headlights
  • Tall flat hood and a very upright tailgate; hood, fenders, doors, sills and headlights share one pattern on every trim
  • Front bumper patterns differ by trim: Preferred / Luxury / Calligraphy, SE / SEL (US), Limited and XRT are each cut separately; SE / SEL also have their own rear bumper
  • Front parking sensors are standard; rear sensors vary: choose the rear-sensor option on rear bumper kits
  • Plug-in hybrid versions have a charging door in the rear quarter panel: choose the charging-door option on side and full-body kits
  • European and UK cars have their own front bumper pattern: choose the vehicle specification
