GMC Terrain: which body do you have?
Compare your car with the pictures. The year you bought it is only a hint, because bodies changed at different times in different regions.
Terrain (2018–2021, second generation)
2018 – 2021
- Second-generation Terrain with a wide chrome grille under a GMC badge and angular headlights
- Denali is the core pattern set, including its grille and rocker panels
- SL / SLE and SLT each have their own front bumper and hood
- Fog lamps sit in the lower bumper: choose the fog option; front parking sensors are an option on higher trims
- Roof kits come in versions for cars with and without a sunroof: choose the sunroof option on roof and full-body kits
- Not covered: 2022 and later refreshed Terrain (separate body)
Terrain (2022–2024, second gen refresh)
2022 – 2024
- Refreshed second-generation Terrain with a restyled grille, slimmer headlights and a new front bumper
- AT4 and SLT share one pattern set
- SLE has its own front bumper; Denali has its own front bumper, hood, headlamps and grille
- Fog lamps sit in the lower bumper: choose the fog option; front parking sensors are an option on higher trims
- Roof kits come in versions for cars with and without a sunroof and with roof rails: choose the sunroof option on roof and full-body kits
- Not covered: 2021 and older Terrain (separate body)
- Not covered: 2025 and later Terrain (separate body)
Terrain (2025+, third generation)
2025 onwards
- Third-generation Terrain with an upright grille and light-bar headlights; sold as Elevation, AT4 and Denali
- AT4 uses the core pattern set
- Denali has its own front bumper
- Elevation has its own front bumper, hood, headlamps and rocker panels
- Roof kits cover cars with and without a sunroof: choose the sunroof option on roof and full-body kits
- Not covered: 2024 and older Terrain (separate bodies)
