BMW X3: which body do you have?
Compare your car with the pictures. The year you bought it is only a hint, because bodies changed at different times in different regions.
X3 (2018–2021, G01)
2018 – 2021
- Two separate kidney grilles with a chrome surround
- Hexagonal headlights and fog lamps in the lower bumper
- M Sport has larger intakes and side skirts; X3 M is a wider body (own kit)
- Plug-in hybrid versions have a charging flap in the front left fender: choose the charging-door option on hood / fender kits
- M40i has its own kidney grille insert: choose the grille type on grille kits
- Not covered: X3 M (wide body)
X3 (2022–2024, G01 LCI)
2022 – 2024
- Larger kidney grilles joined by a bridge
- Slimmer headlights, fog lamps removed
- Reshaped bumpers front and rear
- Plug-in hybrid versions have a charging flap in the front left fender: choose the charging-door option on hood / fender kits
- M40i gained M-specific aerodynamic mirror caps with the LCI (pre-LCI M40i has the conventional caps): choose the mirror-cap option on hood / fender / mirror kits
- M40i has a double-bar kidney grille: choose the grille type on grille kits
- Not covered: X3 M (wide body)
X3 (2025+, G45)
2025 onwards
- Flush, illuminated kidney grille with a smooth surround
- Very flat body sides with flush door handles
- M Sport package (on 30 xDrive / 30e) has larger front intakes, M side skirts and a rear apron with integrated diffuser
- M50 has its own front apron, side skirts and a rear apron with exposed quad exhausts (not the same as the M Sport package)
- Plug-in hybrid versions have a charging flap in the front left fender: choose the charging-door option on hood / fender kits
