BMW M2: which body do you have?
Compare your car with the pictures. The year you bought it is only a hint, because bodies changed at different times in different regions.
M2 (2016–2018, F87)
2016 – 2018
- Wide-fendered two-door M coupe with round-ringed headlights, three large front intakes and fog lamps
- Sold as the M2 only (MY2016 to MY2018); the M2 Competition from MY2019 has its own bumpers and is listed separately
- The M Performance front splitter and the carbon rear deck lid spoiler change the cut: mention them when ordering
- Choose the roof with or without sunroof
- Rocker panels: the kit can cover the extended side-skirt area
- Not covered: M2 Competition (listed as the 2019–2021 body)
M2 (2019–2021, F87 Competition / CS)
2019 – 2021
- Wide-fendered two-door M coupe with round-ringed headlights; the Competition has larger front intakes than the first M2
- Covers the M2 Competition (MY2019 to MY2021) and the M2 CS (MY2020 to MY2021)
- The M2 Competition has its own front bumper, hood, rocker panels and rear bumper; the M2 CS is the base pattern here
- The M Performance carbon splitter, winglets and rear pieces change the cut: mention them when ordering
- Choose the roof with or without sunroof
- Not covered: M2 (2016–2018, listed as its own body)
M2 (2023+, G87)
2023 onwards
- Boxy two-door M coupe with large upright kidney grilles, slim LED headlights and flared fenders
- Covers the M2 and the M2 CS
- The M2 has its own front bumper, grille and rear bumper; the M2 CS is the base pattern here
- Parking sensors (4 or 6) change the bumper cut-outs; the M Performance front splitter changes the front bumper
- Choose the roof: steel with or without sunroof, or the M Carbon roof
- Not covered: M2 (2016–2021, F87, listed as its own bodies)
