BMW 7 Series: which body do you have?
Compare your car with the pictures. The year you bought it is only a hint, because bodies changed at different times in different regions.
7 Series (2016–2019, G11 / G12)
2016 – 2019
- Large chrome kidney grilles that run into the headlights, headlights with the hexagonal daytime-light shape and fog lamps in the lower bumper
- Covers the standard-wheelbase 740i / 750i and the long-wheelbase 740Li / 750Li (the "i" and "Li" trims in Canada); the ALPINA B7 is not covered
- M Sport has its own front bumper and rocker panels; the other trims share the standard pieces
- Parking sensors, headlamp washers and the optional rear spoiler change the cut: choose the options that match your car
- 740e iPerformance (MY2017 to MY2018) has a charging door in the front left fender: choose the charging-door option on hood / fender kits
- Not covered: ALPINA B7 (own front and rear bumpers)
7 Series (2020–2022, G11 / G12 LCI)
2020 – 2022
- Facelift with much larger kidney grilles, slimmer LED headlights and reshaped bumpers; fog lamps in the lower bumper
- Covers the 740i, 750i (also long wheelbase), the M760i xDrive and the 745e iPerformance plug-in hybrid; the ALPINA B7 is not covered
- M Sport and the M760i share one set of bumpers; the Luxury trims have their own front bumper, rocker panels and rear bumper
- Parking sensors, headlamp washers and the optional rear spoiler change the cut: choose the options that match your car
- 745e iPerformance has a charging door in the front left fender: choose the charging-door option on hood / fender kits
- Not covered: ALPINA B7 (own front and rear bumpers)
7 Series / i7 (2023+, G70)
2023 onwards
- Split headlights (daytime-light bar above the main lamp) and a very tall kidney grille, optionally with the lit Iconic Glow surround
- Covers the 740i, 750e, 760i xDrive and the electric i7 (eDrive50, xDrive60, M70)
- The 740i / 750e is the base pattern; the i7 Luxury and the 760i xDrive have their own rear bumpers, the i7 Luxury also its own front bumper
- The i7 M70 has its own front bumper, hood, rocker panels and rear bumper
- Cars with the front view camera need a cut-out in the grille; the parking assistance package changes the rocker panels
- The 750e has a charging door in the front left fender and the i7 in the right rear quarter panel: choose the charging-door option on hood / fender, side and full-body kits
- Not covered: ALPINA B7 (own front and rear bumpers)
