BMW 3 Series: which body do you have?
Compare your car with the pictures. The year you bought it is only a hint, because bodies changed at different times in different regions.
3 Series (2012–2018, F30)
2012 – 2018
- European and UK cars have their own front bumper and grille pattern: choose the vehicle specification
- Two separate kidney grilles and headlights with twin round daytime-light rings; fog lamps in the lower corners
- The sedan only: the Gran Turismo and Sports Wagon use other panels and are not covered
- M Sport has its own front and rear bumpers and side skirts; the 340i has its own bumpers too
- Parking sensors (4 or 6), headlamp washers and the side-view cameras change the bumper cut-outs: choose the options that match your car
- 330e iPerformance (2017–2018) has a charging flap in the front left fender: choose the charging-door option on hood / fender kits
- Sold as the 320i, 328i, 330i, 340i and 330e iPerformance; the G20 replaced it from MY2019
- Not covered: 3 Series Gran Turismo
- Not covered: 3 Series Sports Wagon
- Not covered: M3 (listed as its own model)
3 Series (2019–2022, G20)
2019 – 2022
- European, UK and Asian cars have their own front bumper pattern: choose the vehicle specification
- Kidney grilles joined in the middle by a body-colour bridge
- Headlights with a notch in the lower edge; LED fog lamps on most cars
- M Sport has the larger lower intakes, its own rear bumper and side skirts; Sport Line and Luxury Line have their own front bumper, rear bumper and side skirts
- M340i has its own front and rear bumpers (M Performance); hood, fenders and side skirts are the M Sport ones
- Plug-in hybrid versions have a charging flap in the front left fender: choose the charging-door option on hood / fender kits
- Cars with a camera behind the grille need a cut-out: choose the camera option on grille kits
- Not covered: M3 (G80, listed as its own model)
3 Series (2023+, G20 LCI)
2023 onwards
- Latin American, European, Asian and UK cars have their own front bumper and hood and fender patterns: choose the vehicle specification
- Slimmer headlights without the lower notch; fog lamps deleted
- Flatter kidney grille with a simpler surround
- Sport Line has its own front bumper, rear bumper and side skirts; M Sport keeps the larger lower intakes
- M340i shares the M Sport bumpers and side skirts but has its own hood, fender and M-specific mirror-cap pattern
- Plug-in hybrid versions have a charging flap in the front left fender: choose the charging-door option on hood / fender kits
- Cars with a camera behind the grille need a cut-out: choose the camera option on grille kits
- Not covered: M3 (G80, listed as its own model)

BMW 3 Series PPF kits by body
We cut DIY pre-cut paint protection film for 3 BMW 3 Series bodies. A new body starts wherever the panels change shape, such as a facelift with a new bumper or lights, so a kit always matches the car it was cut for.
